Valentine's Day xoxo

Dear Sarah,

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your post and I was recently thinking about how long it has been since either one of us has posted on here.

What Dave did was very sweet. I especially love the fact that he likes Boy Meets World..sounds like a keeper ;) And I like how you guys went to see that waterfall despite the bad weather. You must post a picture if you have one! I'm sure it was beautiful.

Chris made Valentine's Day very special for me too. He spent two weeks planning a scavenger hunt for me. After I got out of class yesterday afternoon, he texted me and asked what I was up to. I told him I was walking back to my room, and he responded, 'good luck'. When I walked into my room, I noticed my bear was gone and a note was posted on my bed. It read:

"Hello Alexandra. By now I'm sure that you've realized that something strange is happening. I would like you to do something for me. Look around your bed. Do you see your bear...? I didn't think so. I have taken it hostage, and it shall only be returned to you if you follow my instructions. You will find clues throughout this building, each containing a letter. When you have located all of the clues, you will unscramble the letters, thus revealing your bear's location. The only rule of the game is that you must complete this task alone. No help will be acceptable. For the sake of your bear I truly hope that you can do what I've asked. I believe you can. As a courtesy, I will give you a letter to start off. The first clue is located in a place very close to you. It's a good thing that I know the password to unlock it. Good luck, Alexandra. It's time to begin".

So, excitedly I began. He placed clues all around the building with a letter attached to each, as well as a hershey kiss (which was a very sweet touch). Halfway through the hunt, he hid a pair of pajamas in one of my drawers as a reward. And I absolutely love them :) After I gathered all of the letters, I spent a considerable amount of time figuring out what the word was. It was 'Taylor's bed'. I looked up on her bed, and there was my bear..with a jewelry box right next to it. The note on top said, "Happy Valentine's Day, Alexandra. I love you so much, Chris". After tearing up, I opened the box and it was a beautiful pair of earrings.

The scavenger hunt itself was very amusing for myself. Every time I went into a room in the building, I would get weird looks because I was underneath tables and flipping chairs. I think I gave a lot of people a good laugh :)

Anyways, it was so sweet and no one has ever done anything as sweet as that for me.

I wish I could have seen you yesterday, but I'm glad I can still tell you that I love you. I'm glad that there are 365 days in a year for me to tell everyone that I love, that I love them. Valentine's Day is a good reminder for me to appreciate those that I love so dearly, especially my friends, family, and Chris.

Have a good rest of your weekend.

Miss you bunches.
xoxo
Xandra
