Weekend Updates

Dear xAndra,

I loved reading your Valentine's post. Chris' very elaborate plan is pretty impressive. Tell him he gets major props from me for that one!

I posted some pictures of the waterfall and D's and my adventure over on SEDiva Abroad. I've only got a couple because my phone didn't have any more room for pictures, and D was a little loathe to pull his fancy, schmancy iPhone out in that doomsday weather.

As per usual, I'm writing to you while I'm avoiding homework. My life is so exciting.

This weekend, my friend had her birthday out in her family's farm in Wexford. I caught a nearly four-hour bus ride to Wexford town, where she picked me up and we drove another half hour to the farm. Her family lives in a gorgeous old farm house with a million rooms, a billion stairs, and a giant kitchen. And their farm is quite large! The party was out in the barn with about 20 or 30 of us and a giant fire. I went to bed early around 3:30AM. It was great craic (Irish term, remember it?) Many bottles, many chips, a few card games, a lot of laughs, and even some country music happened out there!

Yesterday, to allegedly save me time on the bus journey, D asked if I'd take the bus halfway from Wexford to meet him in Waterford and he'd give me a lift the rest of the way back to Cork. D's from Waterford, so he'd decided to go home for the day to see his friends and family. I'd met his family a few weeks ago (I think I told you that), but I'd never been to his parents' house. We hung out with his parents and his adorable little sister for a couple of hours and then drove over to his hometown friends' house. We got some delicious (but not Bronxian) pizza before driving back to Cork. I was completely and utterly exhausted, but I still suggested we get a pint together at the local pub before he dropped me home for a twelve hour -plus night's sleep. Glorious!

So you can imagine I'm pretty tired right now and completely anti-work. Which is probably why I'm posting here instead of working. Best get back to it now, unfortunately. Thanks for providing the forum for distraction!

Love you bunches xx
