x Valentine's Day x

Dear xAndra,

The last time either of us used our precious blog was December 16, 2013. This is unacceptable. That is all.

Seeing as yesterday was Valentine's Day, a day allegedly for telling people you love that you love them, showing appreciation pointedly, etc., I figured I'd revive the blog. Hope that's okay xx :D I love you bunches, and miss your shining face. Let's keep in touch!

So the boy has been planning our Valentine's Day Adventure for like two weeks, and he's been telling me how all if his friends thought it was a great idea over and over again. So basically I was terrified for what was going to happen yesterday.

He had said the other day that if the weather was bad, we wouldn't be able to do whatever it was we were going to do. Yesterday, I woke up and saw the weather and thought, Okay we'll be staying home so. But I got a call of him, at which point he said, Sarah, you're weird, would you mind getting very wet and cold in our adventure? And of course I said, nope! So off we went.

We drove toward Waterford and halfway up a mountain through wind and rain (and I mean like kind of like an icy hurricane). We got out of the car and walked about twenty minutes until we came to the biggest, scariest, can't-see-the-top-of-it waterfall (actually series of about four waterfalls piled on top of each other) I've ever seen. The clouds were so thick, you really couldn't see the top. It was like that scene in Up. Apparently, it's normally a tiny little waterfall, but with the weather we've had here recently it was enormous. It was super cool!

By the time we got back to the car, we could barely move we were so cold and wet. We took turns changing in the back seat, and then sat in the heat of the car for ten minutes defrosting. On our way back to Cork, we stopped at McDonalds and got milkshakes. I passingly said how freezing I was and how I should've gotten coffee and not ice cream and what the heck was I thinking when D pulled over to get gasoline and disappeared for a few minutes. He returned with a big cup of coffee for me :)

We got back to Cork around 5PM, and we went in to his house to hang out for the evening. He had the kitchen table all set up for a surprise dinner, complete with flowers and chocolate, and even champagne glasses! We curled up with the champagne and watched his new favorite show, Boy Meets World for a couple of hours. I helped him with dinner, and it was thoroughly spectacular.

I gave him a USB of a few recordings of me playing the piano, including a composition I made for a class that I named after him. I had one proviso in giving it to him: that he couldn't listen to it with me around. So I don't know if he's done it yet, but he liked the gift even before hearing it. That's a success, I think, right? haha

I hope you had a lovely, wonderful Valentine's Day and that you took the opportunity to tell everyone you love that you appreciate them! I haven't gotten to everyone yet, but I'm getting there. I suppose that's what every day of the year is for anyway!

Love you bunches,
SarleX
